The ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) or “DHR” seeks a qualified vendor to provide at least forty (40) slots of Rehab Intervention Service Enrichment (RISE) services for children in the custody of the state. Proposed facilities must be located in Jefferson County, Alabama. RISE is for children with Diagnostic & Statistical Manual, Fifth Edition (DSM-V) diagnosis within the range of 290-316 and who have the mental and physical functional capacity to participate in the services. These children must have denials from or have been previously served without success in an intensive residential facility, or are currently being served out of state. Children must be in a facility that is attached to an acute child/youth psychiatric unit due to their severe issues and the need for monitoring and adjustment of medications. Eligible vendors must be fully accredited members of the Joint Commission (formally known as Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) for at least the last 3 years. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must comply with the instructions and procedures contained herein.
