Utilization Review is in charge of identifying, reviewing, and scoring the statewide MAT (Multi-Dimensional Assessment Tool) Project. UR works cooperatively with Family Services and Resource Development in providing the information for the identified children in need of a MAT.
Utilization Review monitors the Intellectually Disabled that are in facilities. UR is in regular contact with the State Mental Health-Division of Intellectual Disabilities to complete applications to determine if a child is waiver eligible and functions as the liaison between the county and regional offices when necessary.
Utilization Review monitors the Out-of-State population and assists the counties in finding in-state placements by sending out quarterly notices to the in-state contracted providers with information about types of placements needed.
