The Alabama Department of Human Resources seeks a qualified vendor to provide 21 (twenty-one slots) statewide slots of Basic Residential Services for Macon (7) and Madison (14) county area to serve children in the custody of the state. These services must be provided in a congregate care setting and must consist of room, board and a basic array of services for a child with mild and/or occasional emotional and/or behavioral management problems that interfere with the child’s ability to function in the family, school and/or community setting in other than a residential environment. This basic type of placement should be limited to children whose needs cannot be met in their own home, traditional foster home, or children who have reached their treatment goals in a more restrictive setting and are ready to be “stepped down”.
