The Family Coaches Program is a volunteer mentoring program for Family Assistance recipients who are transitioning into the workforce and self-sufficiency as well as certain families with income below 200% of the Poverty Level. The FCP is designed to provide volunteer mentors to welfare Players who are referred to FCP by DHR and are required to make a 6-12 month commitment to the FCP.
Coaches are recruited through various community resources. Potential coaches must undergo background checks, complete a training session, and also agree to make a 6-12 month commitment to the FCP.
