DHR ANNOUNCES ALABAMA SUN BUCKS PROGRAM

The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) in partnership with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) plans to distribute Alabama SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) benefits to eligible children this summer, as part of a new federal program.

The mission of the Adult Protective Services Division is to support and enable county departments to protect elderly and disabled adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and prevent unnecessary institutionalization.

ENDING HUNGER AND IMPROVING NUTRITION

The Food Assistance Division administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Alabama. Applications for the Food Assistance Program are available in all county DHR offices and online.
